FORTHCOMING GUESTS:

JULY 6TH – CATHRYN CRAIG & BRIAN WILLOUGHBY
(http://www.brianwilloughby.com/)

Craig & Willoughby met in Nashville where he was writing songs for his
debut solo album.  They co-wrote several songs for that CD, including
the poignant Alice’s Song, dedicated to Brian’s autistic niece.
Brian’s British folk rock influence (ex-lead guitarist of Strawbs)
mixes well with Cathryn’s roots, showcasing her voice and his guitar
and their intricately crafted songs in a unique and dynamic way.

JULY 13TH – MIRANDA SYKES & JENNIFER CROOK
(http://www.mirandasykes.com/Welcome.html & http://www.jennifercrook.com/)

Miranda Sykes is a classically-trained double bass player who has also
become known as a fine singer.  She tours extensively with Show of
Hands and went down a storm with Phil Beer at Dartford last year.
Jennifer Crook is earning a reputation as a singer songwriter and as
one of Britain’s top lever harpists.  She reached the finals of the
BBC Young Tradition Awards in 1993 and has worked artistes such as
Eddi Reader and Clive Gregson.  Expect an evening of quality music.

JULY 20TH – THE TOY HEARTS
(http://www.thetoyhearts.com/)

The Toy Hearts are a Birmingham-based family band comprising Stewart
Johnson (banjo/dobro) and daughters Hannah (lead vocal/mandolin) and
Sophia (guitar/harmony vocals).  In just a short time they have gained
a reputation as one of the UK’s hottest acoustic acts for their
dynamic and innovative performance of modern bluegrass music.  This
now extends well beyond the UK; since 2007 they have frequently
performed on the Continent and have twice toured in the USA.

JULY 27TH – PAUL DOWNES
(http://www.pauldownes.com/)

Paul Downes is one of the most respected artists on the British
acoustic music scene today and is a firm favourite at Dartford.  Paul
has a rich musical background and plays the acoustic guitar
effortlessly, but considers himself as a singer of songs, rather than
a guitar technician.  Over the years he has worked with Phil Beer, The
Arizona Smoke Revue, Pete Seeger and, more recently, Mick Ryan.
Someone not to miss!
